Privacy Policy
Last updated July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Fortcade ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use https://fortcade.com/.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service:
- Account info: When you register, we store your username, email, hashed password and an optional avatar.
- Activity: Games you play, items you favorite, comments you post and support tickets you submit.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device type, referring page, and basic analytics events. Where feasible, we truncate or aggregate this data in our own analytics. Third-party services may process identifiers under their own privacy policies.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We and our service providers may also use analytics and advertising cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers as described below.
2. How we use it
- To operate the Service and let you play, save and share games.
- To detect abuse, fraud and security incidents.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To improve the Service by understanding which games and features players enjoy.
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Third-party services
The Service embeds and links to games hosted by third parties (such as Astrocade, Castle.xyz, itch.io, indie developer sites and other community platforms). When you launch one of those games, the third party may collect its own data under its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any game site you visit.
We may also use third-party providers for hosting, analytics, login (social sign-in) and email delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under standard data-protection agreements.
4. Advertising and Google services
We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses and similar identifiers to collect information as a result of ads being served on the Service.
Google uses advertising cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this Service or other websites. Google and its partners may use this information to provide, personalize and measure advertising, prevent fraud, limit how often an ad is shown and generate aggregated reports.
You can control or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of certain third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising through YourAdChoices.
For more information about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services, review How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
5. Cookie choices and consent
Where required by law, including for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we request consent before using cookies or personal data for personalized advertising. You can use the consent controls presented on the Service to accept, reject or manage available choices. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some account and preference features may stop working.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct or update inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Export a copy of your data.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us so we can delete it.
8. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax or fraud-prevention obligations).
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, hashed passwords, restricted access, regular updates) to protect your data. No internet service is 100% secure — please keep your account password strong and unique.
10. International transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country. When data is transferred across borders, we rely on adequate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
