AY in Look This Way but Sprunkies

AY in Look This Way but Sprunkies turns the original 20-character Sprunki lineup into an automated direction-and-elimination show. Start the game once and the contestants take over: each round gives them a chance to face left, right, up, or down before a large arrow reveals the direction they were supposed to choose.

Created by Karabultuk (@PAgvv), this is primarily a spectator game. There is no character to steer and no direction button to press on a contestant’s behalf. The appeal comes from following favorites, predicting who will make the correct turn, and watching a random contest narrow toward one survivor.

How the Direction Rounds Work

All 20 Sprunkies begin beneath a large scoreboard with three lives each. A round number and “Players Left” counter frame the action, followed by a short warning and a bright directional arrow. The characters turn independently, and the result screen reports how many looked the right way—for example, “15/20 players looked DOWN.”

A correct choice produces a pleased character reaction. A wrong choice triggers a disappointed response and removes one life. This distinction matters: an incorrect turn does not necessarily eliminate someone immediately. The roster only shrinks after a contestant exhausts all three lives, so several rounds may pass before “Players Left” changes.

The random selections make every run develop differently. A round in which most of the cast follows the arrow preserves the crowded lineup, while repeated mistakes can remove several vulnerable contestants in quick succession. The matching gameplay recording reaches a Wenda victory after 29 rounds, but another run can produce a different survivor and a different match length.

Once one character remains, the regular rounds stop. The winner moves into the spotlight, performs a dedicated victory reaction, and receives a confetti-backed result screen. The game can also resolve a draw if a round leaves nobody standing, although the observed full run ended with a single winner.

The Complete Sprunki Lineup

The tournament uses the recognizable 20-character Sprunki cast: Oren, Raddy, Clukr, Fun Bot, Vineria, Gray, Brud, Garnold, OWAKCX, Sky, Mr. Sun, Durple, Mr. Tree, Simon, Tunner, Mr. Fun Computer, Wenda, Pinki, Jevin, and Black.

Their different silhouettes make the crowded arena easier to follow than the player count might suggest. Mr. Sun and Mr. Tree remain instantly visible among the upright characters, while Mr. Fun Computer’s desk, Brud’s bucket, Tunner’s hat, and Pinki’s bow provide useful landmarks as contestants disappear.

This version stays with the cast’s colorful normal appearances. Its character animation is built around looking in four directions, celebrating a correct answer, reacting to a mistake, being knocked out, and winning. The reachable tournament does not branch into a horror phase, story campaign, puzzle, or manually controlled minigame.

Clear Results, Repetitive Rhythm

The strongest part of the presentation is its clarity. The green arrow fills the scoreboard, the orange fraction immediately explains how the group performed, and the shrinking lineup shows the long-term consequences. Music credits remain visible during play, while voice clips and short reaction animations give individual successes and failures more personality than a plain statistics screen would provide.

That clarity also exposes the game’s limitation. After selecting Run, the visitor mostly watches. There is no tactical decision, speed setting, contestant selection, or way to influence the random directions. Three lives keep favorites around longer, but they can also stretch the middle of a match when the surviving cast repeatedly guesses correctly.

AY in Look This Way but Sprunkies works best as a lightweight character tournament for players who enjoy choosing a favorite and letting chance settle the result. Anyone looking for direct control or a skill challenge will find it thin, but the readable round structure and expressive full roster make it easy to follow from the first arrow to the final celebration.
