AY in Searopes! [ 30 players ] is an automated elimination spectacle featuring a massive roster of 30 characters suspended over shark-infested waters. Developed by @FIREINTHEHOLELOADED, this simulation functions as a spectator experience rather than a traditional strategy game. You can watch the randomized chaos unfold directly in your browser on Fortcade, where the goal isn't for you to play, but to see which contestant can keep their ropes intact while others plummet into the sea.

How the Searopes Tournament Works
The game operates on a simple but effective survival loop. Each of the 30 contestants begins the match secured by five ropes, which serve as their life bars. The simulation cycles through the survivors in a randomized turn order, with the active character selecting an opponent to attack.
Every turn follows a specific sequence:
- Turn Announcement: The game displays large text identifying the active contestant.
- Random Selection: The character chooses a target automatically.
- Rope Loss: The targeted opponent loses one of their five ropes.
- Animation: The character’s sprite updates to show fewer ropes, accompanied by a drop-and-bounce effect.
When a character loses their final rope, they enter an "Out" state, spinning downward until they hit the water with a splash. The match continues until only one character remains to claim the victory pose and confetti celebration.
The Rigged Roster: Thirty Contestants and a Secret
The primary draw of the game is its diverse and chaotic cast. The roster includes a mix of internet icons and original creations such as Normal Face, Gd Cube, F, COPPA, Silly Brazil, Darwin, Scratchy, Gumball Fantastic, Among Us, and Golf Ball. The visual style is intentionally inconsistent, blending flat vector art with photographic elements and recognizable cartoon faces.
However, there is a significant catch to the competition. While the elimination order of most characters is randomized, the contestant Golf Ball is currently invulnerable. Due to an apparent programming choice or oversight, Golf Ball does not respond to damage. While she can attack others, attacks directed at her never reduce her rope count. This means that while the journey to the finish line changes every time, the ultimate winner is effectively predetermined in the current version.
Music and Presentation
Despite its simple mechanics, the production value of the audio is surprisingly high. The game features a rotating library of 37 gameplay tracks, 11 winner jingles, and various results themes pulled from classic fighting games, platformers, and kart racers. A "Now Playing" banner keeps track of the current selection, adding to the game's atmosphere as a community-driven crossover event.
Visually, the game is clear but becomes quite cluttered in the early stages. With 30 large characters squeezed onto the screen, sprites often overlap, making it difficult to track individual rope counts until the field thins out. The 154 MB file size is relatively large for a browser simulation, reflecting the hundreds of unique audio and visual assets packed into the project.
Strengths and Limitations
AY in Searopes! succeeds as a "prediction game" for social groups or fans of the featured characters. The integration of health into the environment—using ropes instead of standard HUD bars—is a clever design choice that keeps the screen focused on the characters.
Its main limitations include:
- No Interactive Gameplay: There is no way for the player to influence the outcome.
- Predetermined Outcome: Golf Ball’s immunity removes the tension from the final rounds.
- Early-Game Clutter: The initial 30-player screen is visually overwhelming.
AY in Searopes! [ 30 players ] is a charming, if flawed, automated survival show. It is best enjoyed as a short, animated distraction or a way to see favorite internet characters battle it out in a randomized—if slightly rigged—tournament.
