AY in Tick Drop! Sprunkies but everyone is Mr sun

AY in Tick Drop! Sprunkies but everyone is Mr sun turns one cheerful Sprunki character into an entire elimination tournament. Created by @glitterbug2018, it places 20 numbered versions of Mr. Sun around a mechanical arena and lets a randomized Tick Drop sequence remove them one at a time.

This is primarily a spectator game. You start the match, choose a particular sun to support if you wish, and watch the automatic rounds unfold. There is no player-controlled movement or tactical button to press during the published match.

How the Elimination Works

Press the green flag in the center of the opening screen to begin. The title card gives way to a circular formation of Mr. Suns surrounding a red digital display.

Each round follows a clear sequence:

  1. The surviving contestants wait for their individual random decisions.
  2. Some of them automatically press their platform buttons, adding turns to the counter.
  3. The game spends those turns by moving the active position around the circular roster.
  4. The Mr. Sun reached when the count ends reacts, shakes and drops out of the arena.
  5. The remaining contestants close the gap and begin another round.

The cycle continues until only one Mr. Sun remains. That survivor switches to a dedicated victory pose and receives the winner sequence. There is no score target, campaign progression or alternate ending competing with this last-one-standing objective.

Moving the pointer over a contestant reveals its numbered name. This is a small but useful interaction because the characters otherwise share the same basic yellow face and orange rays.

Twenty Suns, One Visual Joke

The roster begins with Mr. Sun and continues through numbered variants up to Mr. Sun 20. They use matching character designs, but their expressions change when they press, become confused, lose or win.

Making every contestant the same character is the central joke, yet it also changes how the match feels. A mixed cast invites recognition by color and silhouette; here, following one chosen competitor requires more attention. The ring gradually becoming less crowded provides the clearest indication of progress.

The industrial stage supports the format well. Gray platforms, metal scaffolding and the glowing red Tick Drop display frame the bright yellow contestants without competing with them. Music, button sounds, teleport effects, metallic impacts and the final drop give each otherwise automatic phase a distinct cue.

What Works

The cause-and-effect chain is easy to understand. Visible button reactions build the turn total, the counter resolves that total, and one contestant falls. Even without direct control, the random count creates enough uncertainty to make choosing a favorite mildly suspenseful.

The expressive state changes are another strength. A contestant does not simply vanish: the surprised reaction, shaking platform and falling animation make each elimination feel like a miniature event. Randomized decisions and music also keep repeat runs from feeling completely identical.

Limitations

The format offers very little agency after the opening green flag. You cannot choose which Mr. Sun presses, influence the turn count, rescue a contestant or accelerate the longer parts of the tournament.

The identical roster is intentionally funny, but it can also make individual competitors difficult to track when the ring is full. Hover labels help, although a persistent marker or prediction feature would make supporting one numbered contestant easier.

Matches also repeat the same fundamental cycle 19 times. The changing roster, soundtrack and reactions provide variation, but players looking for strategy, exploration or conventional Sprunki music mixing will find a deliberately narrower experience.

AY in Tick Drop! Sprunkies but everyone is Mr sun works best as a short, chaotic viewing game: pick a numbered sun, follow the red counter and see whether your identical-looking favorite can remain on its platform until the end.
