Roadster Rush

Roadster Rush

On October 15, 2026, Elon Musk and Tesla unveiled the new Roadster, often called Roadster 2, at SpaceX's testing facility in McGregor, Texas. The prototype used thrusters to go airborne and perform a barrel roll, with production planned for 2028. Roadster Rush turns that flying-car spectacle into a browser game about dodging traffic and pulling off aerial stunts.

Creator Ammaar Reshi (@ammaar) said he made Roadster Rush using Gemini 4 Argon, describing it as “Subway Surfers” for the new flying Tesla Roadster. You drive along a palm-lined highway, switch lanes, collect lightning-bolt pickups, and fire the thrusters to fly above traffic. It is a 3D endless runner: survive as long as you can and beat your best score.

How to play Roadster Rush

Your car moves forward automatically while traffic, pickup trails, ramps, and overhead signs approach. Staying on the road lets you follow lines of gold lightning bolts, but eventually a crowded lane demands a different route. A quick hop can clear a nearby problem; holding the flight control carries you higher above the highway.

Flight uses the AIR meter. Holding the thrusters continuously can drain it into the red, so climbing is a temporary advantage rather than a permanent escape. Air pickups replenish that resource. Watch the space ahead of you and the road below before committing to a long flight or a dive.

Barrel rolls add another reason to leave the asphalt. A successful roll displays an immediate points bonus, turning a traffic dodge into a scoring opportunity. The challenge is returning your attention to the next hazard: a clear route at takeoff may be crowded by the time you descend.

A crash ends the attempt and brings up your score, best score, distance, bolts, and best combo. Retry starts a fresh run, making it easy to test a different approach to the same basic driving-and-flight loop.

Tips for keeping your run alive

Save some AIR for the next traffic jam. Short flights leave more room to react when another obstacle approaches; holding the thrusters until the meter runs low makes your next escape harder.

Choose a landing lane before you dive. The road keeps moving beneath you while you fly or roll, so check for an open space below instead of descending toward the same lane automatically. Learn to return to the highway safely before chasing extra roll bonuses.

What makes it worth a run

The strongest moment is the change in perspective when the car rises above the road: traffic drops beneath you, the skyline opens up, and the rear thrusters turn a familiar dodging game into an aerial stunt run. Warm sunset colors, angular city buildings, and roadside signs such as “Merge? Just fly” keep the presentation playful.

It suits short sessions built around improving a score. Learning to reserve air and choose a landing lane gives repeat attempts a clear purpose, while the immediate retry keeps a failed stunt from becoming a long interruption.
