Save Simon: Sprunki Shark Chase

Save Simon: Sprunki Shark Chase turns a crowded underwater Sprunki party into a wonderfully simple survival challenge. Press and hold the yellow Simon and he automatically swims to the right while an enormous shark pursues him from behind. Simon can gradually pull ahead while you keep holding, but hesitation gives the predator an opportunity to close the gap.

Created by @Elaynajc, this portrait-format remix combines a one-input chase with a long parade of familiar Sprunki characters, short reactions, and a timer that records how long Simon remains in the water.

Hold Simon and Keep Moving

The main interaction is more direct than a conventional platform game: you do not steer Simon around obstacles or aim individual swimming strokes. Press Simon, continue holding him, and the camera follows as he travels right. The shark begins on the left and follows at a pace close enough to make every interruption dangerous.

A timer in the upper corner begins counting almost immediately. If the shark touches Simon, the timer and scene restart instead of moving to a game-over menu. That rapid reset makes another attempt easy, although it also means there is little breathing room at the beginning of a run.

An Underwater Sprunki Parade

Simon’s escape route passes a surprisingly large cast rather than an empty ocean. Oren, Raddy, Sky, OWAKCX, Durple, Brud, Gray, Wenda, Vineria, Garnold, Fun Bot, Mr. Fun Computer, Mr. Sun, Tunner, and numerous original characters appear along the extended horizontal scene.

Many of them can be pressed for a short line. OWAKCX panics about the shark, Garnold urges Simon to move faster, Gray warns Brud about the danger, and Vineria casually greets Simon amid the chaos. These small reactions give the game its remix-party personality.

There is a useful tension behind that joke: stopping to press the cast can cost Simon precious distance. Reading every response is therefore better treated as a separate challenge—or as something to attempt once you are comfortable maintaining the chase.

What Counts as Progress?

The timer is the clearest measure of a successful run. Surviving longer lets you carry the camera farther through the character lineup and see more of the handmade underwater scene. There are no verified lives, upgrades, checkpoints, combat moves, or leaderboard systems.

The active version also does not establish a confirmed rescue ending. Reaching the later characters reveals more of the cast, including Bote and Elayna near the far end, but there is no verified finish gate or victory screen waiting there. The practical goal is therefore to keep Simon ahead of the shark and improve your survival time, not to defeat the shark.

Strengths and Limitations

The game communicates its premise instantly. Simon is bright and easy to identify, the oversized shark creates a strong visual threat, and the narrow speed difference makes holding on feel important. The long chain of character cameos adds discovery to what could otherwise have been a very short reflex toy.

Its limitations are equally clear. The chase depends almost entirely on one sustained input, failure erases the current timer immediately, and reading dialogue can conflict with staying alive. Players looking for multiple stages, a permanent best-time display, or a conclusive rescue sequence will not find those features here.

For another creator’s variation on the same underwater pursuit idea, see Sprunki Shark Chase. This version is best approached as a compact survival challenge: hold Simon, watch the gap behind him, and see how much of the underwater Sprunki procession you can uncover before the shark catches up.
